Daumen hoch AW: getting married in Germany

    Hello
I don't know in how far in the meantime informed you, because your question is already somewhat longer here at the Forum, but I describe my experience with this topic you time shortly.
I had an idea and even panic to like you of nothing. When I then read how difficult but a marriage with a foreigner in Germany that in some forums, my panic became even greater. Today, I can only say "it is eaten nothing so hot as it is cooked". I went in my city to the civil registry office and read me there from the Registrar advised in detail.

I needed for the marriage: identity card and registration certificate from the registry office

My wife needed for the marriage: birth certificate (Certidao de nascrimento), registry (Registro Civil) with translation
Marriage certificate of the previous marriage with translation, (if she was ever married), if yes, divorce certificate with translation, or death certificate with translation
Marital status certificate with translation (receives at the registry office in their place of residence)
    Passport with translation

That was already there. Forget but not the Registrar to ask if something still is unclear, better too much than too little.
Mine was already annoyed, because I often called him and wanted to have resolved outstanding issues. Nevertheless, he was very friendly and competent. Brazil is one of the easiest countries when it comes to marry a Brazilian/Brazilian.
For the period after the marriage, you call the best at the immigration service and you erkundigst how you have to proceed further. Namely, it is different from State to State.

    Greeting,
    Jürgen

    Hi!

According to officials, it needs probably a Ledigkeitsbescheinigung not necessarily issued on their Cartorio because it the fact in Brazil do not exist. Is this available in Brazil a declaration of two witnesses but may is accepted by the German officials. She should try to obtain the Ledikeitsbescheinigung times, provided partly by the Cartorios. Of course you should clarify what exactly is needed with the civil registry office.

After the wedding, go to the Town Hall and let exhibit a common certificate of reporting you, where you both stand on it. Thus the immigration service and AE request. Then comes simply still the entry in Brasiland, but this is not important now.

    Greeting
    Jakobo

Here just to prevent errors, a certificate of marital status is the same as a Ledigkeitsbescheinigung. Jakobo has also absolutely right what he said about the Declaration of two witnesses. In fact, all three names are the an and the same document. Your wife should two people grab and go with them to the Cartorio. You attest and sign their marital status, ....sprich then in the presence of an official of your woman single, divorced, or verwitwert.
I can't speak for other States, but in Saarland, on my registry this document was accepted.
Is good but sometimes to be a German....
    Greetings and all the best,
    Jürgen
