Dear friends of the Sun,

I wonder whether it in Brazil something like this is like sipgate. I.e. a provider that provides me somewhere to a phone number and I can connect me via SIP from? Da, I could then just so a SIP to tips phone and needed to use a computer.

As I know that something like this service SkypeIn (número online) is possible with Skype for 15 € per 3 months – only because I need simply a connected computer and use a proprietätes Protocol. The means I can connect no standard VoIP phone.

A SIP phone you can not use with Skype - but there are some WiFi phones, if that is interesting for you: WiFi phones and Skype are the perfect partners.

Also some mobile phones offer additional software to make calls via Skype. My Nokia can also.

However, there are just certain prefixes with Skype. Salvador for example is not there. I don't know another option at the moment unfortunately.

I have my VoIP number when didx.net "hired", but only works if you have a great idea about the matter and can deploy a SIP server. But surely you can find here also people who know a SIP provider here.
