Bin heute gleich bei meinem ersten Erkundungsgang in der näheren Umgebung voll in eine Favela reingeschlittert. Keine 50m von der Hauptstrasse entfernt und schon war man mitten drin. Ich glaube, sie hiess "Rapadura", bin mir aber keineswegs sicher. Ich sah nur ein paar Busse mit dieser Aufschrift an ihrer Endstation.

Hihi Lemi, in Recreio ("City") is there almost no favelas, but you stolperst immediately in. A handful are found I know West of Prq. natural (Chico Mendes) and some other along AV. the Americas.

Recreio (especially the surrounding countryside) but actually is irrre. The northern part of the AV. the Americas is still relatively undeveloped. There are occasional (but still definitely one to two dozen) settlement spotted (away from the highway;) Vargem Grande and pequeña). Meine "Namorada" sagte "rechts", meinte aber "nach ein paar Metern rechts". Ups, ich konnte wegen einem Betonsockel nicht mehr die Spur wechseln, und schwupps standen wir mit der Karre mitten in einem Teil der riesengroßen Favela ... auch meinem Mädchen war mulmig, sie wohnt woanders.
