FINANCIAL CONTROLLER



Objective



Based out of the Bentley office in Sao Paulo, Brazil this position directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management. The Controller is responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with financial institutions and authorities, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over general accounting, property accounting, internal and external auditing, cost accounting and budgetary controls.



This position reports to the Finance Director based in the UK.



Key Responsibilities



The position supervises one colleague in Sao Paulo and encompasses:



- Control of all Finance and Accounting in Brazil

- Maintenance of our statutory records and reporting

- Continuous improvement of systems and procedures in Brazil to ensure business efficiency & accuracy is maximised

- Finance support for contract negotiations with users in Brazil

- Collections from users. Active management of our Accounts Receivable

- Maintenance of our Bank account in liaison with Treasurer in The Netherlands

- Ensure that we incorporate all legislative changes that are announced in Brazil into our systems

- Ensuring that all local compliance is completed accurately and on time

- Together with the Group Tax Director in Exton completing all tax filings accurately and on time.

- Ensure all financial policies are in accordance with US GAAP for internal Bentley reporting whilst also ensuring that local GAAP requirements are adhered to for external reporting within Brazil.

- Other duties as assigned.

Your Profile



- 3-5 years experience with a controlling department, preferably in an international environment

- Independent & Flexible

- Bachelors degree business administration or equivalent

- Adequate knowledge of US GAAP is a must

- Accurate and attention to detail

- Able to work under stress

- Able to work independently and with others in a team atmosphere

- Fluent in English both written and spoken

- Experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel) and ERP system SAP would be advantageous.
